About Our Mind-Body Approach

With all the current psychotherapies available, it is often difficult for clients to choose the best form of counselling for themselves. However, body-focused counselling, or mind-body counselling, allows clients to have elements of several theories and the combination of mind and body in order to help them deal with their concerns.

The mind-body approach focuses on the interaction across an individual’s brain, body, behaviour, and environment. Using this approach, we help individuals gain greater awareness of how each part is connected and influence an individual’s life experience. Increased awareness of how these parts interact can help an individual better understand and feel control over their wellness journey.

Using several different tools, the client gets to become more aware of the connection between mind and body. Clients can use mind-body counselling to help work on issues including, but not limited to the following:

  • Anger
  • Addictions
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self-Esteem
  • Sexuality
  • Chronic Pain
  • Relationship Concerns
  • Trauma
