Registered Massage Therapist
Amanda is a registered massage therapist and graduated from the massage therapy program at Mount Royal University in 2017. She has a passion for holistic health care, and dabbles in aromatherapy and herbs. She has found massage therapy to be effective on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Emotions leave an imprint not only in our minds, but also in our bodies, and massage can help relive that tension, whether we’re aware it’s there or not. Compassionate and therapeutic touch is an essential part of the healing process.
With a focus on therapeutic relaxation, Amanda provides a safe space for clients to release any stresses. She is certified in pre-natal massage, reiki, and myofascial cupping. Cupping therapy is widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to increase circulation of blood and Qi (energy). Amanda uses soft silicone cups to help release adhesions in connective tissue and muscle. Raindrop Therapy uses 10 different therapeutic-grade essential oils that are dropped onto the spine, feet, and inner calf, and are gently massaged in. The essential oils used have antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. This is a calming therapy that can help reduce the severity of colds, reduce muscle and joint pain, and release stored emotions.
