“The secret of health for both mind and body, is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future or anticipate troubles. We need to live in the present, more wisely and earnestly” (paraphrased from Sidarthur 6th. Century B.C.)

“Never be ashamed of the scars you have. They simply mean that you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you” (Author, Unknown)

Inherently, we all have the Inner Strength to heal that which troubles us.

Lynleigh holds a Medical Degree from South Africa. She was 23 years old when she qualified. She is also a Specialist in Anesthesia, a Degree from Oxford, England. She immigrated to Canada in 1982. She has a Degree in Psychiatry from The University of Saskatchewan.

During her training, she focused, amongst other areas, in psychotherapy, CBT, geriatrics, and rehabilitation of individuals into the community. She worked with the LGBTQ communities, as well as with Mood and Anxiety Disorders (in particular, Trauma).

I believe that trust in therapy stems from a client who can share their innermost thoughts and feelings safely without judgement. The client sets the goals paramount in therapy. The client can change goals as need be. The client is my guide as to where the therapy leads with some input from me. I am there to listen and to get to know the client intimately, as well as understand the client. Dealing with projective thoughts and feelings aids the healing process and wholeness is the result.
